Amy McKee

Position

Amy is a Solicitor working in Mahoney Lawyers Varsity Lakes office with Matthew Manz predominately in Management Rights, Body Corporate matters and Motel Transactions.

Qualifications

Amy has dual degrees of Bachelor of Laws (Commercial Law and Criminal Law majors) and Bachelor of Legal and Justice Studies from Southern Cross University.

Amy completed the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at Bond University.

Experience and Services

Before joining Mahoney Lawyers in 2011, Amy worked in the property law area in a middle tier Gold Coast firm. In that time she focused on body corporate and  management rights matters as well as motel and business transactions. Amy has continued with this work since joining Mahoney Lawyers.

Amy has experience in:

• Management rights acquisition and disposal including off the plan development
• Variations and extensions of management rights agreements
• Drafting and negotiating new management rights agreements 
• Acting for bodies corporate in various management rights issues including assignments and providing advice on variations and new agreements 
• Motel acquisition and disposal 
• Drafting and providing advice on motel and other commercial leasing 
• Body corporate by-law work including by-law reviews and drafting new by-laws and community management statements
• Various body corporate advices; and
• Assisting bodies corporate and lot owners with changes to community management schemes including amalgamations of bodies corporate, termination of schemes, transfer of exclusive use areas, sub-division and creation of lots within schemes, boundary realignments and sale of common property.

Interests

Amy enjoys traveling, music, photography and spending time with family and friends.
